MY PET STAVROS
Oh joy of joys, how I'm very glad to have finished this term with relief and a smile on my face. I hope you didn't miss me much as I was left battling papers with a pen and a pencil; but most of the time I fought everything my profs throw at me with my faithful and loyal computer. Yes, such times have made me lose weight for which I am well pleased. A lot of lessons have been learned and a lot of accomplishments have been achieved. I apologize for not being able to update you with any news about what's happening as I have been busy again with due dates and my jobs.
First, I'd like to thank God for His providence; I have been blessed with two jobs this term. I am a proctor for the University of Winnipeg and a Research Assistant to my professors: Dr. Fiona Green and Dr. Jaqueline. I'm very happy, because I have moved from my old job, which I have struggled to fulfill (and you know this from my old entries), and I am now working on a much more familiar setting -- the University. I've always wanted to work in a university setting, this includes being a proctor, an assistant or a TA (Teacher's Assistant). I'm having a great time. I can study my lessons while I work and I feel comfortable in this place.
It's a straightforward experience being a proctor. But what I'm really happy about is having the opportunity to work as a webdesigner! I'm glad that I'm working on two jobs, and being a full time student, because now I can work on gaining more work experience. Plus I love to be productive at this age. There's nothing wrong in saying one's dreams, but talk is cheap. So I'm really glad that I'm given this opportunity to prove what I can do. Merry Christmas to you all!
