Tohru gathers her strength and finds a way to reconcile their friendship and get everything back to normal.

Tohru makes her mind and chooses to visit Akito as well. It's the final episode. Where's that damn tissue?!

Kyo finally transforms into his true form! Tohru discovers this harsh reality and becomes confused what to feel. Kyo runs away and losses his hope of forging their friendship. Tohru starts to doubt herself of everything -- everything is falling apart and is turning unstable. However, it's too early to tell whether it would continue that way.

It's an awful rainy day and Kyo seems weaker than his normal. Tohru is bothered and observes that Kyo's being is getting worse. Kyo's energy drops to a lower point when he discovers Kagura for a sudden visit.

On their way to the grocery. Kagura secretly shares why she loves Kyo so much.

After Kagura, Kyo's master returns from the mountains and visits Shigure's house as well. However, things will get bumpy ahead that might spell tragedy for everyone -- even the viewers.

Another Sohma decides to visit Shigure's house. This time it's the daughter of the Hostess at Sohma Hotsprings. However she seems to be self- conserved than Tohru and unusually apologizes for everything -- even for drawing breathe on the face of the world. Wait 'til Tohru finds out who she really is.

Yuki starts the semester together with the Prince Yuki Fan Club. However, the President of the club realizes that it's just a matter of time 'til she graduates and has to move away from seeing Yuki and to a grand university. She searches for a way to tell him what she feels even if her members feel the same way. She becomes uncomfortable and views her members as rivals -- along with Tohru of course.

Tohru comes across with a boy asking to retrieve one of his shoes. Then after a few friendly dialog, the boy steals Tohru's purse. And from what Tohru has heard, he appears to be another zodiac member. Enter Hiro Sohma.

Ayame asks Yuki to come and visit his shop someday and unexpectedly he agrees. Of course Ayame asks Tohru too. Upon their arrival, the couple discovers that it's a whole different shop from what they've been expecting. They meet Mine Kurame, Ayame's assistant with extra-fine ideas. Ayame also mentions a secret gift for Tohru waiting at the shop.

Tohru discovers that she fails one of her midterms but all is not lost. Tohru becomes embarrassed because she feels that she let her friends down, who helped a lot to study. She feels so down and disappointed with herself and indeed gave her the way to catch a cold. It's just a matter of time before she makes it on time for the makeup exam. Fortunately, she discovers that she's not alone in her concluding battle.

Prince Yuki Fan Club seizes the opportunity and the spotlight. They plot to break up Tohru and Yuki's friendship. They take a step by looking for Saki's weakness, one of Tohru's guardians. By disguising themselves as journalists and bring with them their trusty camcorder only to uncover Hana's dark secrets that makes them turn to their tails. Not only that, another posing threat appears to the Prince Yuki Fan Club that's also as dark as Hana.

Enter a new Sohma to Tohru. And it's a girl. Hatsuharu shows her a tiger cub named Kisa. However, Kisa's constantly biting Tohru whenever Tohru would comfort her.

Shigure was left out during white day, so he decides to take a trip to the lakehouse and insists Tohru to come with him. Not accepting to let Tohru be alone with him, the other Sohmas, especially Kyo and Yuki, agrees to come as well. At the lakehouse Shigure stirs the story of Jason. Although, other surprises greet the bunch.

On their way to the lake, Tohru notices that Yuki and Kyo are not in their usual selves. They're extra silent. She becomes very worried.

It's been a year since Tohru's mom passed away. The bunch visits her grave for her first death anniversary. Uo and Hana discusses on who will Tohru's love would be, but they couldn't simply accept it. Then Tohru discovers Momiji in the building in which she works. Tohru is utmost shocked when she finds out further about who Momiji really is.

Tohru and Yuki are working on the secret base. When Tohru heads back to the house to prepare lunch, she finds out a set of clothes lying on the ground. A creature emerges from the bushes and she suddenly screams of what happened. Yuki quickly runs to Tohru. Both of them head back to the house and Shigure quickly becomes familiar of the creature that *uhm* is too friendly to Tohru. And uncovers a relationship that has something to do with Yuki.

Note: For me, the episode is still innocent and doesn't have any of THAT usual adult oriented material. It's still okay for the younger audience provided parental guidance.

Enter Tohru in her second year as a high school student. It's a fresh start and Yuki's helping out with the orientation. The three find out that younger Sohmas are also entering the same high school. This causes greater social instability when a white haired boy, Hatsuharu, and another cute freshman, Momiji, creates their debut with the ultimate student body discipline enforcer, the student council President. After the commotion, Tohru heads to the classroom and a deeper situation comes into play when another Sohma unexpectedly visits the school and meets up with her.

Momiji treats Tohru, Kyo and Yuki to a quiet and rejuvinating weekend at the Sohma Hotsprings. This is truly a big surprise for Tohru. But lies ahead of Tohru is a bigger out of the blue issue waiting for her.

Love is in the air and it's Valentines Day for the bunch. Tohru spends chocolates for all of her Sohma friends. When March shows up in the calendar, her friends finds her working extra hard than the usual to earn money. Her friends soon realize something that they should've realized long before.

Tohru and her class goes on a physical endurance run. However, Yuki isn't feeling well and Kyo sees an opening. Yuki and Kyo decides to run, but in the middle of their run, a boy with white hair interrupts Kyo on his lead. The boy with white hair introduces himself politely as one of the cursed Sohmas. But it's not his point of agendum. He faces Kyo and he decides to duke out with Kyo. During their commotion, Yuki faints and Tohru discovers something deeper between this three Sohmas.

Everybody's busy preparing for the New Year. Tohru, together with her friends, Uo and Hana, and the two Sohmas, Yuki and Kyo, clean the house to get ready for the New Year celebration. On the other note, Shigure's editor, Mi, is nagging and insisting Shigure to finish his new 500-page novel with all her sanity.

When the Sohmas decide to go to the Sohma Main House to celebrate their annual banquet, they soon realize that they'll be leaving a certain someone in the house. It hits them that they will be leaving Tohru in the house to celebrate her own New Year in solitude.

Hatori asks Tohru to visit him in the Sohma main house. She complies and goes to the Main estate. After given a warning from Yuki at the festival not to visit him, she's a bit nervous to talk to Hatori. However, Momiji shows up and guarantees Tohru not to be a bit nervous overboard. Tohru finds out why Hatori insist so much of telling her to leave the Sohmas.

It's another cultural festival. Tohru's class chooses a hit or miss rice ball stand. Yuki is given a rather "unusual" outfit to wear during the festival, which lands the rice ball stand a heap of customers. While everything is going according to progress, Momiji and Hatori show up. They too are members of the Sohma family.

Kyo, Shigure and Kyo lets Tohru live in the house once again. The news got out to Tohru's friends, Hana and Uo, and decide to see if the Sohmas are treating her well and taking real good care of her. Tohru's friends are also girls and it could spell disaster for the Sohmas because of their curse.

The dust settled in Shigure's house and everything's great. Just when Tohru becomes acquainted with her life in Shigure's house and feels that the rest of her days will be this happy, she suddenly gets a call from her grandpa. The reconstruction is finished and Tohru can move back with him.

Kazuma Sohma is a master of karate who taught Kyo karate. He also taught several younger Sohmas including Yuki, Hatsuharu and Kagura and runs a dojo near the Sohma main house.

After Kyo's mother died, Kazuma took-in Kyo and raised him as his foster son.

When Kazuma sees of Kyo's genuine 'happiness' around Tohru, he wanted to test Tohru's feelings whether he would accept Kyo for who he is by revealing to her the cat's true form. Moreover, Kazuma also wanted to show Kyo that there would be someone who would accept him for his true form.

In the manga, Saki Hanajima, Tohru's psychic friend, took the job as a cook in Kazuma's dojo and implies that they're in a relationship.

A Sohma drops by and visits Shigure's house. This time it's Kagura Sohma. Kyo seems very scared and unparticular of her, however it's the other way around for Kagura. A lot of commotion follows. Kagura finds out that Kyo has been living with another girl, Tohru. One wonders what will happen.

Mitsuru, Mii-chan, Miitchan, is the persistent editor Shigure Sohma. She always puts up with Shigure's antics of mischiefs and slack. Like a good editor, she [nags] keeps Shigure on track with the deadlines.

Shigure teasingly calls her Mii-chan. Their relationship appears to be a comic one. Whilse Mitsuru nags Shigure for each manuscript, Shigure either avoids her, goes somewhere else, or falsely claims that he isn't finished yet; thus demanding an extension of the deadline. In the end, Mitsuru has to keep up with Shigure's antics or face the printing press and the publishers.

She meets Ritsu Sohma and later develops an intimate relationship with him because of their 'similarities' -- both tend to be suicidal.

Nikki is taking up a course in Clothing Technology and aspires to launch her own clothing line in the future.

Her weakness is her boyfriend, Ron, and she's obsessed with him. Her obsession over Ron is all because of the story of how they met. And Nikki would do just anything to be with him.

Tohru stumbles upon Kyo and Yuki fighting once again. When she tries to stop the fighting, she accidentally runs into and hugs Kyo, making him transform. Kyo gets really angry and, without thinking, calls her a stupid and ugly girl. In effect, Tohru thinks that Kyo hates her. Kyo feels miserable of what happened and decides to pick her up after her part-time job. He apologizes along the way -- in his own way. The next day, on Tohru's way home from work, she meets with Yuki and both of them walk home. After an accidental transformation, Yuki went sentimental and tells Tohru that he's longing to live a normal life.

Mine Kuramae is the always reliable assistant of Ayame Sohma on his business venture with fashion. Mine helps Aya from managing the store to designing clothes. She is highly motivated and dedicated in her work that she doesn't hesitate to try out their latest work.

Tohru is really surprised to find Yuki, Shigure and Kyo turn into animals. The three quickly told Tohru the Sohma Family curse. They told her that the Sohma curse occurs whenever a member of the Sohma family is hugged by a member of the opposite sex, they turn into animals based from the Chinese Zodiac. Later at school, Yuki meets up with Tohru and tells that her memory could be erased for discovering the Sohma curse. Upon returning home, both of them found out that Shigure informed Akito, the head of the Sohmas. The decision of Akito allowed Tohru to stay with the Sohmas, provided that she would never tell anyone the Sohma's secret curse.

Ritsu's mother, Mesho-san, also known as "Okami-san", as she is most often referred to as ('okami' being the Japanese term for the hostess at an onsen), or more rarely, the "Ghost Lady", is introduced, as well as appearing before Ritsu, when Tohru, Momiji, Yuki, and Kyo take a trip to the Sohma Onsen for Momiji's White Day Present for Tohru. As Momiji introduces her to Tohru, Mesho-san at first she seems to be a fragile middle-aged woman who at times seems frightening and ghost-like as she wails and moans rather than compared to her son who usually cries when apologizing, though the simularities between both are very well recognizable.

Mesho-san accompanies Tohru in the spring and converses with her about her son, Ritsu, who she admits to her that Ritsu is the monkey of the zodiac. Although, she didn't mention Tohru whether Ritsu is a boy or a girl. During this time she also apologises to Tohru for she confesses that when she had first heard of someone outside of the Sohma family knowing of the curse, she became worried, but now knowing Tohru and that it is she who is the one who knows, she is "relieved".

Also worth noting is that in the manga there is a small part of the bath scene which was never adapted into the anime which slightly reveals Mesho-san's true feelings about Ritsu. When first hearing about Mesho-san's son, Tohru can not help but ask what he is like, and Mesho-san, though screaming with apologies, replies heartfully "...from the world's point of view he's like that but he's very precious to me deep down. He's very kind. He's my only child..
